Website Privacy Policy

The short version

This website is a set of static pages about food and inflammation. There is no account to create, no form that sends anything to us, and no way to upload a photo here. The only thing that collects data is Google Analytics, which tells us which pages people read. We do not sell anything to anyone.

What we actually collect

Through Google Analytics 4, and nothing else:

• Which pages you visit, in what order, and for how long
• Approximate location, derived from your IP address at the city level. Google shortens the IP and we never see the full one
• Device and browser type, screen size, and operating system
• The site you arrived from, if any, and the search terms when the search engine passes them along

That is the complete list. We do not ask for your name, your email, or anything else, because there is nowhere on this site to give it to us.

What we do not collect

• No accounts. There is no sign-up, no login and no password on this website
• No photos. Food scanning happens inside the app. Nothing you own is uploaded from these pages
• No payment details. Nothing is sold here
• No health records. The searches you type into the food finder run in your own browser and never reach our servers
• No advertising networks and no cross-site tracking pixels

Cookies

Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell one visit from another. We set none of our own. If you would rather not be counted, blocking cookies in your browser or installing Google’s opt-out add-on is enough, and the site works exactly the same without them.

Who else sees this data

Two companies, both because they have to be involved for the site to exist:

• Google, which runs Analytics and holds that data under its own privacy policy
• Hetzner, the German company whose server delivers these pages and keeps standard access logs

Nobody buys this data from us, because we do not sell it. It is not shared with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, the UK, California or anywhere with similar rules, you can ask what data exists about you, ask for it to be deleted, or object to it being collected. In practice there is very little to hand over, because we hold no identifiers that point back to you. Write to us and we will answer within 30 days.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything about them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not keep old versions online, so if the details matter to you, save a copy.
